We invite you to join our ongoing learning process at MHM by volunteering. Volunteer times often start with a few minutes of reflection and conversation with our staff about the deeper realities of homelessness, unaffordable housing, and social isolation in Denver.

Some volunteer opportunities become long-term chances for growth and mutual transformation. Check out current opportunities on our Volunteer page

Beyond our Efforts is a visual treat…

Over 250 beautifully designed pages of prayers, reflections, Denver history, and community development practices by over a dozen authors from our community.

LIFE

Leaders and Interns Formation Experience (LIFE) Program invests in young leaders, typically undergraduate and graduate students in social work, helping set their careers on a course to serve high-risk populations in healthy, effective, and sustainable ways.

Penny Salazar-Phillips, a licensed clinical social worker, heads up the LIFE Program. With over 40 years of experience as a social worker and community leader in a number of contexts, Penny’s passion is to help the next generation grow personally and professionally.

LIFE Program participants put into practice the skills, concepts, and theories that they have learned in their educational programs. Each student works with high-risk populations through internship placements with effective local organizations and agencies.
